Minus GenAi

There is nothing wrong with using Ai as a tool to aid in discovery. Writing stories is not one of those uses. As an experiment, I uploaded the first passages of a story I wrote and asked AI to check syntax, grammar and structure. The results were not in my voice and did nothing to aid in the message I was trying to convey. The stories I write are written without AI, for better or worse. I realise opinions differ; however it is my voice I am trying to get across, my voice that took decades to mature and form. My tone and experiences. Changing synonyms, sentences and syntax co-opts that result. There is a place for GenAi, there remains a benefit for all of us to reap.
